Hey Folks.
I'm sorry it's been so long since the last post on here, loads to do, V.A.T and just general day to day stuff.
We're entering the new financial year shortly, and i must say we hope that the new one will be better than the one that has passed.
In keeping with the retail trade in the UK at the moment things are patchy to say the least, but all we can do is plug away and do what we do well.
For those who read here regularly (seems to be fewer and fewer....maybe more posts would help!!!), i have a few questions.
SURVEY:
1) What do you look for when shopping (eg. price, experience, service etc)?
2) If a store was to start something such as a home brew section, or something else that was a little different from the norm, would that encourage you to try something new?
3)How much of your shopping do you do online, and would you shop with us online if given the chance to do so?
4)How much does Music in a store, detract or enhance your shopping experience?
I would greatly appreciate ANY comments regarding this little survey, feel free to pass the site address along to your contacts as we need as many answers as possbile to see where we can improve.
Feel free to post on the site, or Email us at cobwoods@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks for your time.

Cheers for your comments!

A Warm, friendly service, with staff that know what they're talking about. Price isn't always important.
2) If a store was to start something such as a home brew section, or something else that was a little different from the norm, would that encourage you to try something new?
It would certainly attract me to the store, but i am not sure as to whether it would aid me in buying something.
3)How much of your shopping do you do online, and would you shop with us online if given the chance to do so?
I do a fair amount of online shopping - i'd say it's a 70-30 split between online and high street shopping. An online shopping facility would certainly improve my chances (though i don't do anything round the house to warrant the need for hardware :P)
4)How much does Music in a store, detract or enhance your shopping experience?
I'm a picky bugger, so it'd depend on the music, and what mood it set.
Sorry i've not actually posted here in ages, hope things are going alright :)
Hey Grey, tis not bad, just looking for opinions!!! Thx for the post.
Hope all's well with you.
1) In the last few years I have definitely aimed at doing most of my shopping in small, independent shops. I've found my shopping experience more pleaseurable, the service better and the goods are usually better too. Price is not really a factor as it's always worth paying more if you know it's not going to a large chain.
2) Maybe. Though if a store is a specialist store and does something too different, then I guess I'd prefer to haev more variety of what they specialise in.
3)Not that much. Definitely DVD's. Mainly around Christmas for books, just to avoid town. Some electrical goods. Again, I used to do more music shopping onlin but I want to support Andy's Records!
4)Not much, though I do like it when I hear something I like! Which is not often...heard Sigur Ros in a shop the other day.
Hope it helps!
1) What do you look for when shopping (eg. price, experience, service etc)?
Convenience - ie not having to travel what seems like a hundred million miles just to get the basics. Price is also a factor, being cheaper is only cheaper if you don't spend the difference on getting there!
2) If a store was to start something such as a home brew section, or something else that was a little different from the norm, would that encourage you to try something new?
On the rare occasions I go shopping, I already know what I'm after, hence why I'm shopping. *But*, there's always the 'Ooooh' factor when you stumble across something interesting, so variety is always a good thing.
3)How much of your shopping do you do online, and would you shop with us online if given the chance to do so?
Most of it, but then I'm not the main shopper in either of the locations I live in at present. There's plenty of hardware places near me, so I'd only shop online with you if you had something that I couldn't get elsewhere, or if it was miles cheaper, as I don't trust the post office/couriers not to lose or damage things. Last week, a courier left my semi-regular book delivery behind our dustbin, not the first time, and once they even left it *in* the dustbin. Honestly. They've also left it under a bush in our front garden before now. They got caught out this time though. It rained, and one of the books is scrap....
4)How much does Music in a store, detract or enhance your shopping experience?
I go shopping to shop, not to listen to music!
